Fun at the Fringe

I've been to several other events at Ilkley Literature Festival Fringe, and been impressed at the quality. On Saturday 1 Oct Sue Featherstone and Susan Pape talked about writing their novel A Falling Friend together - I bought the book and enjoyed it even though it's not a genre I would normally read. Check out their website for booklovers. Then on Monday 10 three authors from Armley Press read excerpts from their work and too questions from the audience - my advice is, if you don't know their work, try some! Their ethos is to publish good stuff which the mainstream publishers won't take a risk on, often because they think it's too 'northern' - I'm tired of the way this country excludes people because of where they're from!
